The historic cathedral cities of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester and the elegant spa town of Cheltenham are within 30-40 minutes by car.

A little further afield, but within easy reach, are the Wye Valley (Symonds Yat, Goodrich Castle, Tintern Abbey and the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye), the Forest of Dean, and Chepstow Castle.
